Sensorimotor neurophysiology studies the neural correlates of the control of movement, of experiencing the environment in which our movement takes place, assessing movement outcome and exploiting the collected information for refining each sequence to eventually learn to move better. The recursive outcome of this process is the generation of the motor command carrying the right information for our muscles to contract and actuate our joints and bones. Banalizing in few words, motor control is exploiting senses to move the body.
